One of the first impressions a person has of Hillcrest Covenant Church is that it is a place where kids are welcome and Sunday morning is a particularly special time. In our nursery, newborns and toddlers are gently cared for by loving adults and young people. Nursery care is offered during all worship services.
Preschool and elementary age children have two
exciting programs each Sunday morning.
In Sunday school children get to know children from the same age group as they study the Bible together and discover God’s plan for today. Our teachers work hard to utilize drama, crafts, and games to make the Bible stories memorable. Children's Sunday school is for toddlers through sixth grade.
Children’s Church is a worship service for children kindergarten through third grade. The children begin worship in the sanctuary with their parents, then are dismissed for Children’s Church just before the sermon. There they learn how to act, how to talk to God through singing, art and prayer, and how to listen to God by reflecting on the stories of God. Children’s Church is offered the second and fourth Sundays, September through May. On other Sundays, Activity Bags with age-appropriate activities and a snack are available for the children to use throughout the worship service.
