Sunday School Classes for All Ages at 9:30 AM
Please join us!

Our education hour (9:30-10:30am) programming in 2009-2010 -

The nursery is open and staffed with caring young adults ready to nurture your infant and toddler in their own form of Sunday school while-you enjoy one of-the stimulating adult classes.

Join our early learners (preschool and pre-K) for Sunday school upstairs in the northeast corner of the building and then your child can stay right in their room or come back for preschool extension (the pre-K version of children's church) during the worship hour.

Our elementary age students will be exploring the adventures found in Group publishing Faithweavers Sunday school curriculum. This year we will be offering classes for school aged children Kindergarten _1st grade, 2nd -3rd grade, and 4th-5th grade. Their classes are taught in a couple of rooms on the lower level.

Confirmation has experienced a makeover and this year will provide in-depth exploration of the Bible and how to apply learning for 6th, 7th and 8th grade youth on Sunday mornings! A mid week youth group styled program will ignite the Holy Spirit in these kids on Wednesday evenings beginning September 16.

Our high school aged young people will continue to challenge their hearts and minds on Sunday morning with a variety of age appropriate studies and discussions. ?WHY meetings on weekend evenings throughout the year will continue to provide this age student with stimulating discussions to equip them to live a life of faith. NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS STARTING JANUARY 3

Every year our denomination, the Evangelical Covenant Church, adopts a resolution concerning social justice. At the annual meeting last June, the Covenant introduced the resolution for this year: Criminal Justice. The resolution stresses a number of biblical themes, including God’s concern for victims and His extension of mercy and restoration to offenders, that God requires justice on Earth, and God calls the church to be agents of mercy and justice.

The denomination has asked that congregations discuss this resolution before the next annual meeting in June, when it will be voted on. To facilitate that request, our church will offer a two-week adult Sunday School class on the resolution on January 3 and January 10. Taught by Mark Cordes, the class will focus on five themes:

...What is the biblical witness on crime, especially as it concerns victims and offenders?
...What is justice, and how does God’s justice differ from ours?
...How does Christian forgiveness relate to criminal justice?
...How should we as Christians reach out to victims of crime and offenders?
...Is the American criminal justice system in crisis, and what can be done?
